In 2002, in the spirit of concerned
government document, SSIA has undergone a thorough reform in compliance
with the requirements of Shanghai Standing Committee. A new broad
of trustees has been voted and a new charter has been passed.
Now, Shanghai Software Industry Association (SSIA) has 331 members.
Among them, foreign-owned enterprises account for 28.7%, State-owned
enterprises 5.3%, joint-stock enterprises 2.4%, collective enterprises
6.7%, private enterprises 33.8%, limited company 6.7%, others 16.4%.
One secretariat and five committees (computer-assisted design committee,
software quality regulation committee, software component committee,
educational software committee and intellectual property protection
committee) are under the leadership of SSIA. There are 7 full-time
staff working in the secretariat, performing the daily routine of
the association.
